When you live in Southern California, the slightest glimpse of Winter is worth a celebration. Really, we only get cool temps for a brief time and compared to most other states, it's considered very mild. So it's about that time SoCal! Time to pull out our boots, mittens, hats and scarves and finally celebrate Winter! #WinterFestOC officially kicks off on December 16 and runs through January 1, keep reading to hear about what super fun stuff you can look forward to.
Personally, my favorite part of any Winter celebration is the snow. You know I've never actually seen real live snow fall from the sky. But I will gladly settle for the artificial snow that WinterFest OC offers. In fact, that is what my girls look forward to the most, being able to feel snow, make a snowball and make snow angels. So, we will definitely have to check out the Snow Play area with real snow blown daily!
For us and our little family, the Winter traditions are just beginning. We have still yet to get up to the mountains, but we are just always so excited when we get to dress for Winter and have fun! I love that for us, Winter doesn't mean black ice or snow storms, haha. Instead it means, hot chocolate, light displays, photos with Santa and tree lighting ceremonies.
All Winter Fest admission tickets start at just $10, include access to Winter Fest and the following winter attractions and entertainment:
Photos with Santa
Craft Making in Santa's Workshop
Ceremony with Snowfall
Outdoor Ice Skating *additional cost
Largest Light Display in the OC
Stroll Through the Celebration of Lights
Nightly Christmas Tree Lighting
Snow Play with Real Snow Blown in Daily
World's Largest Rocking Horse
Unlimited Ice Tubing Down Snowflake Summit
Little Elves Play Area (Ages 3 and Under)
Cartoon Character Live Shows with Meet & Greets
Santa Takes Flight
Santa's Petting Zoo
Mrs. Claus Reading
Oh my gosh, there is so much to look forward to! I love craft stations and petting zoo's so I'm covered. But I know my girls are most excited to try some Ice Skating, Ice Tubing and of course, see Santa. I just know all of the lights are going to be beautiful and I'm going to have to make sure we have our hot chocolate on hand and ready for the nightly fireworks. Yay, SoCal really knows how to celebrate Winter at #WinterFestOC.
