I miss sitting and watching cartoons with my girls. When they were little itty bitty babies, we would sit together and sing along and learn their shapes and then suddenly it stopped and cartoons were for babies. Recently I noticed that they were watching cartoons again but this time when I sat to watch with them, I found us all laughing! The older kids cartoons are hilarious! We are huge Teen Titans Go! fans and loved the Teen Titans GO! To The Movies, movie. Thank you Warner Bros. for inviting us to an advanced screening and awesome after party.
When the Teen Titans go to the big screen, they go big! “Teen Titans GO! to the Movies” is energetic, sarcastic and funny. I will tell you my favorite part right now, all of the jokes that are put there for the parents. I walked out of the theater laughing so hard at the last words said before the credits roll. When you see it, you'll know why.
I know the kids don't care what the synopsis of the film is, but for those parents that like to have an idea before taking the kids, here you go. (Keep scrolling for the trailer)
Synopsis: It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their hearts, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, determined to pull off their dream. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!
The cast really makes the movie, Teen Titans GO! To The Movies! stars Greg Cipes (TV’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”) as Beast Boy, Scott Menville (TV’s“Spider-Man”) as Robin, Khary Payton (“The Walking Dead”) as Cyborg, Tara Strong (the “My Little Pony” franchise) as Raven, and Hynden Walch (TV’s “Adventure Time with Finn & Jake”) as Starfire, all reprising their roles from the series. Will Arnett (“The LEGO ® Batman Movie”) and Kristen Bell (“Frozen”) also lend their voices in starring roles, as the evil Slade and Hollywood director Jade Wilson.
The film is rated PG by the MPAA for action and rude humor, my favorite kind.
We had such a blast at the advanced screening. My girls were met with a red carpet, including paparazzi! They shouted their names, asked them to twirl and pose and my girls just loved it.
I really don't think my girls can get enough of Teen Titans GO! We saw it a month ago and can't wait to go back and watch again-- and I'm okay with that.
Warner Bros. really knows how to throw an after party. We enjoyed Sweet Rolled Tacos, pizza, games, photo booths, candy buffets, balloon animals and face painting. Thank you so much for having us, we loved celebrating Teen Titans GO! To The Movies.
Teen Titans GO! To The Movies hits theaters everywhere this Friday, July 27th. Perfect for getting out of the heat and into a theater to cool down and laugh alongside the kids.
