Out of the Vault: Disney's Sleeping Beauty! (Giveaway and Printables)

Disney movies are meaningful. I love that Disney has the key to everyone's heart. When I first met my husband, he told me that his favorite princess was Aurora. I honestly had no idea who that was (I know, I know). When he told me that was Sleeping Beauty I realized I had never seen the movie before. For me, I just thought it was funny that he knew more about Sleeping Beauty than me. According to my husband, Sleeping Beauty is his favorite because it is funny and has a cool dragon. My girls now love Sleeping Beauty too and this will be our movie for tonight's movie night!
Now how about some fun printable sheets and activities to go along with your Sleeping Beauty viewing party? And don't worry, there are tons of activities for both girls and boys.

So get ready because on October 7th, the vault is opening up and Disney's ultimate princess fairy tale classic “Sleeping Beauty” will be available for the first time on Diamond Edition Blu-ray, Digital HD and Disney Movies! Creating the ultimate at-home viewing experience, Disney’s 2-Disc Diamond Edition Blu-ray Superset (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy) contains digitally restored picture and sound, a digital copy of the film, and a variety of magical new bonus features! Additional all-new bonus features include never-before-seen deleted scenes “The Fair” (with Deleted Character The Vulture,) “The Curse is Fulfilled” and “Arrival Of Maleficent,” plus the Beauty-Oke sing-along to “Once Upon A Dream.” The Blu-ray Superset also includes classic DVD bonus features and more!

Exciting right? Do you want to win a copy of your own? Here's your chance. Leave me a comment below telling me your favorite Disney movie. That's all. I will pick a winner on October 11, 2014, so make sure to leave your email so I can contact you. Good luck!

It's almost time to meet The Boxtrolls! (Printable Activity Sheets)

Oh man! We are so excited about The Boxtrolls! The movie comes out on September 26 and it seems like we've been waiting FOREVER! So what are we gonna do until then? Print out these super fun Printable Activity Sheets! Get to know the Boxtrolls, play games, and do mazes.

What is The Boxtrolls about?
A family event movie from the creators of “Coraline” and “ParaNorman” that introduces audiences to a new breed of family – The Boxtrolls, a community of quirky, mischievous creatures who have lovingly raised an orphaned human boy named Eggs (voiced by Isaac Hempstead-Wright) in the amazing cavernous home they’ve built beneath the streets of Cheesebridge. When the town’s villain, Archibald Snatcher (Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley), comes up with a plot to get rid of the Boxtrolls, Eggs decides to venture above ground, “into the light,” where he meets and teams up with fabulously feisty Winnie (Elle Fanning). Together, they devise a daring plan to save Eggs’ family.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day opens October 10! (plus Printables)

Good news everyone!
ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD VERY BAD DAY opens October 10, 2014 Are your kids excited for this one? My littles are too young to have read the books yet, but they are very excited to see the movie. And I love Steve Carrell and Jennifer Garner, so I'm in!

Here's a synopsis: Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom, dad, brother and sister all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn't had one.
