How will you make life #BetterForBaby? (plus Giveaway!)

Disclaimer: This is part of a sponsored collaboration with DiMe Media and Pampers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Becoming a Mother really changes everything about you as a person and although you kinda know that it's gonna happen, you never really understand it until you take a step back and look at how much you and your life has changed. When I had my first baby, it was a very different experience than most. I lost my son just a few hours after he was born, we didn't know that he had an inoperable heart condition and so it was something that I was not prepared for at all.

Losing my son changed my life and who I was as a person, but it wasn't until I had my daughter, 14 months later, that I was able to really see myself as a Mother. All I knew was that I was in charge of this little person and responsible for every little thing she needed and that I would give up my own life in a second if that was what she needed. I spent every minute of my day with her and even listened to her sleep on the baby monitor before I would actually fall asleep. It really is amazing how much these little babies change your life.

Now, that my babies are older and a little bit more independent their needs have changed. My days now consist of taking them to Girl Scout meetings, events and just trying to stay active. If there is one way that being Mom has changed me, that is how my babies have changed me, not only do they keep me busy, but I work hard at keeping them busy too. I sacrifice my free time just to keep my babies happy.

believes that even though babies are little, they are powerful agents of change. Babies have a profound impact on our lives and on the world.

My babies have changed me so much. It seems so long ago that I would sleep in on Saturday's and just be lazy all day. Now, I get up early and get my girls ready so we can head out to Home Depot for the kids workshop or spend hours listening to my daughter read books. We are just filling our days and months with memories and I wouldn't change it for anything. My girls give me energy, they are the reason that I want to be a better Mom, Woman, Wife, Friend, Daughter and Sister because I know that I am their role model.

When a baby comes into your life, you want to be a better person for that baby. Babies bring out the best in each of us. They make our lives better and that’s why there’s nothing each of us wouldn’t do to make life better for babies. Pampers has unveiled a new video - The Pampers Better for Baby video- to celebrate the many ways babies bring out the best in all of us. Check it out below:

The video ends with a pledge: “together we can make life #betterforbaby.”  Pampers hopes the video inspires people to share what they already do – and what they might begin doing – to make life better for the babies in their lives. Pampers is inviting people to share their pledges using hashtag #betterforbaby. Here's mine:

I pledge to make life #BetterForBaby by being a good role model for my daughters.

Pampers is committed to doing their small part to make life #BetterForBaby by donating millions of diapers each year to families in need through Feeding America and partners with UNICEF to help eliminate maternal and newborn tetanus. Pampers also supports premature babies and their families with special Pampers preemie diapers and other resources via Graham’s Foundation.

Those First Moments Are The Most Memorable #PampersPrimerasVeces

Disclaimer: This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and Pampers. All opinions are 100% mine.
Becoming a Mom has been one of the greatest things to have ever happened to me. It's like all of a sudden your life changes so drastically that you no longer live for yourself, you live for them. When you become a Mom, you literally fall in love at first sight. Every single part of your day and night is devoted to this new little one, and all the little things start to matter. All of the firsts are forever imprinted in your mind, the first time you see them, hold them, and look into their eyes are moments you'll never forget. Then there are the moments that you write down to help you remember the dates, the first time they roll over, laugh, sit up, talk and the first steps.
My most favorite firsts, would have to be the first time I held my girls. I know most mom's would probably agree that holding their baby for the first time is the most memorable moment. For me, after only being able to hold my son for a few hours before he passed away, holding my daughters and bringing them home for the first time was the moment I looked forward to most as a Mom. I feel so lucky to have been able to capture some of my favorite moments in photos. I love being able to capture the first moments I held my daughters and the first moment my daughters met, this picture still makes me cry like a baby.

DIY Memory Keepsake Ornament #RegaloDeAmorPampers

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and Pampers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hola! It's getting to be the end of the year and for me that means it's time to reflect and look back, and bawl my eyes out as I realize another year has gone by and my girls are getting older. Today I'm sharing a DIY project that will help you treasure those moments and keep them safe in a fun way. I'm also sharing a fun giveaway from #RegaloDeAmorPampers.

You have a chance to win a gift basket to help capture those special moments of love with baby. The gifts include Pampers Swaddlers, Pampers Wipes, The Crafty Chica Collection Book, and a Michael’s gift card to create a DIY loving keepsake! Keep reading for instructions on how to make your own memory keepsake ornament and how to enter to win this fun prize.

As I was flipping through my copy of

The Crafty Chica Collection

by Kathy Cano Murillo I was inspired by her

Divine Intervention Car Cross

to make a Memory Keepsake Ornament for each year of my daughters lives.

I've been dying to try the bottle cap/resin craft for a while now and now that I have, I think I will be making more of these for bows and necklaces and key chains. The possibilities are endless!

Photos printed in 1 inch circles, Bottle Caps, Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, Hot Glue Gun, Paint, Glitter, Popsicle Craft Sticks, Ribbons, Yarn, Papers or any other materials that you'd like to use.

Follow the instructions below to make your own keepsake ornament.

  1. Print/Cut one inch circles.
  2. Glue the pictures to the center of the bottle cap.
  3. Pour the resin over the photo and cover completely. Try to keep a steady stream of resin when you're pouring, this will help keep the bubbles away. This will need to sit for 24 hours to completely harden. Please note: In this case, bubbles are the enemy.
  4. Paint your popsicle sticks and decorate however your heart desires. I added glitter, because, well I love making things glittery.
  5. Cut ribbons, yarn, pipe cleaners or anything you have chosen to use and start gluing. My favorite part of the process is all the layering.
  6. Adhere the hardened bottle cap with the photo as the last layer.
  7. Lastly, glue a string or ribbon to the top to hang the ornament.

It happens in a blink of an eye. It has been years now since my little ones were in diapers, but I want to make sure I capture the moments and hold them tight. The picture above is of my littlest's very first Christmas. Your baby experiences your love in many different ways, and those precious moments you share with your little one make every day special and worth remembering.

Pampers Swaddlers

are the No.1 choice at local hospitals in Los Angeles and across the country. And now Pampers Swaddlers is available through size 6 to comfort and protect babies through many more moments of love! I remember being so sad when my babies grew out of their Swaddlers, I love that Pampers now offers Swaddlers through age 6.

What do you think? I love it! It's gonna be so exciting to pull out the ornaments from the years past and look back at them and see how much they've changed.

Pampers New Video Smashup and Twitter Party! #BebeConRitmo

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and Pampers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Meet my babies. If you've been reading my blog for a while now, you probably know my girls pretty well. I've been reminiscing a lot lately, and felt like sharing some snapshots from when they were tiny little squishy babies. As crazy as it seemed at the time, to have two little ones 18 months apart from each other, I am so glad that it worked out that way. There were so many memories that were made all at once. Yes, I had two babies in diapers for a year (Moms of multiples, I don't know how  you do it.) I've always said that my favorite time of the day, when they were this little was when they would first wake up. I didn't have crying babies, I had happy little babies who I could not wait to see every morning.
I know it probably sounds crazy to any mom out there who still has little ones in diapers, but honestly, I would give anything to have my littles be this little again (just for a little while). I miss those little diaper butts so much. Pampers is a big part of those memories for me, and they have been helping parents celebrate those fun morning moments when baby wakes up happy, energetic and ready to “bailar” in his or her crib after a good night’s sleep. Man, how I miss that. Now all I hear is the whiny voices saying, "I don't want to go to school..."

A good diaper is the difference between a smiley happy baby in the morning and a not-so-happy, uncomfortable baby. When baby wakes up dry and ready to dance, moms are too. A dry diaper and a restful night's sleep are cause for a morning time fiesta.
Now, that diapers are behind us, I know I will always hold those happy morning memories in my heart forever. Especially since these smiley, hugging, sister moments don't happen as often as I would hope.

Check out Pampers Bebe con Ritmo video smashup below! It's adorable! and don't forget to join Pampers in celebrating those joyful moments by posting a clip with #BebeConRitmo or #BabyGotMoves that we could feature in our next Pampers video.
Please join @Pampers, @PampersLatino and Latina Mom Bloggers for a #BebeConRitmo Twitter Party on October 7th win prizes, you must RSVP at Latina Mom Bloggers from 9-10pm ET. There will be lots of fun prizes!

Messy hair, big smiles and Pamper butts! #BebeConRitmo (plus GIVEAWAY)

Messy hair, big smiles, and pamper butts! Oh, it's been a while since my girls were this little, but I will hold tight to those memories. I am certain my baby fever will kick in while I write this, here it goes. My favorite of the baby stages, was from 9-18 months. This was the age when they would sleep through the night (finally!), and wake up happy and ready to bailar the day away. I would always wake up before them and lay there in my bed, listening to the baby monitor waiting to hear them stir and babble before I would rush in there to get them. Some moms would wait until their babies would cry out for them, but not me. I missed them too much over night. I couldn't wait to go in there and sing "Goooooood Morrrrrrnnnnnning" and see their smiley faces staring back at me from their crib. I can still see it now, a little messy haired girl standing in her crib jumping around ready for the day.

These pictures seem so long ago now. Who are those little chubby cheeked babies? Ah, I miss them being this little. I will never forget their many moments of them dancing in their crib to music. One of the items we received at our baby shower was an iPod player that attached to the crib. This was one of mine and my husbands favorite items that we couldn't wait to put to use. We are music lovers, between the two of us, we pretty much cover every genre. My husband made a playlist that included all of our favorite music for her to fall asleep and wake up to, it was the best! I love that my girls have loved music and dancing from a young age. I only WISH I had video of them dancing in their cribs. Do you have video of your little one dancing away?

Well, share them! From August 18th through September 24th, parents can upload videos under fifteen seconds by using the hashtags #BebeConRitmo or #BabyGotMoves. Parents can tag @PampersBabyGotMoves on Instagram or @PampersLatino and @Pampers on Twitter or even share their video on Pampers Facebook walls ( or Pampers will pick a few of its favorites to appear in an upcoming video. Fun right?!

Now, how about a GIVEAWAY! How would you like to win:
o Jam Plus Bluetooth Wireless Speaker
o GrayBaby Einstein Octoplush
o Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes
o Cha-Cha-Cha En la Selva (The Animal Boogie) book
o Pampers Sensitive Wipes

Craft of Blogging Workshop

This weekend I attended my very first blogging workshop, well my very first blogging anything really. When I began this blog about a year and a half ago, I didn't really realize what it was that I was getting myself into, or where it would lead me. But, thanks to some amazing ladies I met this weekend, I think I have more of an idea as to what it is I am doing!
I started this blog as a way to journal and showcase some of the "things" that I make for my kids, like their Halloween costumes and their parties that I go crazy with. Things slowly started evolving once I found Pinterest, I started pinning away and had so many new ideas! Then I  thought, I should start pinning my items back onto Pinterest, and before you know it, my traffic started increasing. Slowly, but surely. And up until recently I was at a stand still. What do I do with my blog? Where do I want to go? I found a lot of these answers at The Craft of Blogging workshop.

The workshop was put to life by three amazing mom's who blog. Xenia of Raised by CultureRuby of Growing Up Blackxican (writer for Babble) and Denise of Pear Mama (writer for Baby Center). I heard about this workshop about a month ago, and was reluctant to join because I didn't really know what I wanted from blogging. Thankfully I got the push and support from my husband to go and see what it was all about. I am so glad I did. First of all, the place that hosted the workshop is called The Makery in Anaheim and it was such a cute place where crafters can go and be surrounded by fellow crafters, or rent the space and host a crafting shindig of your own.
After arriving and enjoying a light lunch of delicious sandwiches, salad and Jarrito's soda, we got down to business and started talking about blogging. This workshop was also for beginning bloggers, so there was a lot of information on how to start a blog and the terminology that goes along with that. Although I have had my blog for over a year, I didn't know a lot of the terminology, so I was so glad for that type of review.
I really wanted to share with you, my readers, what I took most from the workshop. From the blogging basics portion, I learned that I need to find my inspiration and my voice and figure out what I want to do with it. I learned what should be included in a Media Kit, which is something I have been going crazy trying to figure out how to do. And lastly, I learned how to connect with brands and how to pitch yourself to them, which is something I will be working on soon!
We had refreshments supplied by Jarritos soda, and I have to say, it really took me back to my childhood. When I was little, my mom would take me to the carniceria and our treat would be an orange Jarritos soda.

The swag bag was amazing and filled with so many goodies and coupons by such awesome companies. Thank you to McDonalds, Crav on Fries, Neutrogena, Crafty Chica, and Pampers, just to name a few!
My head has been spinning since I left the Craft of Blogging workshop, I have so much information and advice that I have been trying to figure out how to implement. So, a big thank you to the women who have inspired me and to my readers, wish me luck! I will try my best to entertain, inspire or at least make you smile, even a little.
