Curious George: A Halloween Boofest! Airs Monday Oct. 28!

Disclosure: This is compensated campaign in collaboration with Latina Bloggers Connect and WGBH, but all opinions are my own.

Hooray it's Halloween! I love Halloween, it is my favorite time of year and honestly, Halloween starts on October 1st in our household. There are so many fun things to do and make that all lead up to the finale of Halloween night.
This year, as part of our month long celebration I bought some Halloween books for them to read (they are both in preschool, so technically I read the books, and Lacey memorizes the words). We received Curious George Goes to a Costume Party-Jorge el curioso va a una fiesta de disfraces, a bilingual book by Margret & H.A. Rey I was thrilled because although I do not speak Spanish fluently, I would be able to read to them in Spanish and English and go over some of the vocabulary with them. I loved it, and so did Lacey. She kept asking, "How do you say ... in Spanish?" Fun! The book is about George going to a costume party unprepared and having to try on various costumes.
We are such fans of PBS and Curious George, the girls were very excited to get to watch Curious George: A Halloween Boofest an all-new full-length movie with 3 new songs, including "It's Halloween Today," sung by Pat Monahan the lead singer of Train. It airs October 28 on PBS Kids.
On a day that my nephew visited, we had a special viewing of the movie. (With popcorn of course!) You know it's a good movie when two 3 year old's and a 4 year old all sit through an entire movie. They loved it, and so did I! The movie is about George's first Halloween in the country. He learns about the legend of No Noggin, a hat kicking scarecrow that haunts their town on Halloween. Of course, George is determined to see No Noggin for himself, and a bunch of silliness occurs.

I don't know about your kids, but my oldest is always on it is one of her favorite sites. FYI: There are some awesome printable Masks in English and in Spanish and a Tic Tac Toe game in English and Spanish! Check them out!
