I didn't think I'd love the LEGO movies as much as I do, but I loved the first LEGO Movie, and then loved LEGO BATMAN and now this one, the LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE had me laughing so hard and out loud and possibly even more than my kids. #LEGONINJAGOMovie ADRead More
Are you ready to test your Ninja skills? Legoland is ready for you! NINJAGO World opens to the public on May 5th, just in time for Summer. Keep reading to hear more about the fun new area of Legoland and get ready to plan your family trip soon. Disclosure: I was invited to preview NINJAGO World in order to share with you all of the fun info.
LEGO NINJAGO tells the story of four young ninja heroes – Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane – who train under the watchful eye of Master Wu to master an ancient martial art – Spinjitzu.
NINJAGO The Ride enables guests to demonstrate their ninja skills without the use of a hand held device and instead, they simply use their hand gestures. Riders collect points for their training and battle efforts throughout the ride and scores are displayed when their quest is completed.
The opening ceremonies were incredible! I felt so honored to be there. We were wowed by the music and demonstrations and the confetti explosion at the end, was the best! We couldn't wait to get in there and try the new ride.
I have to mention the food. When entering NINJAGO World you are treated to a whole new land, a land that includes Asian cuisine at Ninja Kitchen. This sandwich is only one option available and it is delicious- Bánh Mì Vietnamese sandwiches on fresh baked baguette or steamed Bao Buns. Both filled with crispy pork belly, lemongrass chicken or baked sweet chili tofu. This is the pork belly, on top of a freshly baked baguette with sliced jalapenos, cilantro and a spicy ginger/sesame dressing. I also heard mentions of rice bowls becoming available soon.
NINJAGO World includes five new interactive attractions with NINJAGO The Ride being the main feature. The other four attractions are all designed to test guests’ creativity, agility, balance and speed, helping guests train to become a ninja. The new world also offers Asian inspired cuisine at NINJA Kitchen and shopping at Wu’s Warehouse.
ZANE’S TEMPLE BUILD: Guests can tap into their inner imagination and create LEGO models inspired by NINJAGO.
KAI’S SPINNERS: Guests can test their balance as they stand on one of Kai’s spinning platforms and twirl!
COLE’S ROCK CLIMB: Grab a hold! Kids can test their agility as they scale a rock wall.
JAY’S LIGHTING DRILL: Are you lighting quick? Guests can test their speed by pushing the lit up buttons in the speed cage.
This was our first visit in over a year and we had so much fun checking out Legoland Miniland USA, the new LEGO Friends Heartlake City and the Imagination Zone. I can't wait to go back and do it all over again and the kids are already planning out which area they want to visit first.
Tell me: Have you taken the family to Legoland?
I have good news Los Angeles! LEGOLAND® California Resort is hosting a LEGO® building challenge inspired by its new LEGO® NINJAGO® World and NINJAGO® The Ride, opening this Spring. The Wu Cru Challenge will be in Los Angeles at the Discovery Cube Los Angeles on March 19, as part of a five city tour prior to the attraction opening at the theme park in Carlsbad this May.
Children and their families will have the chance to team up and test their LEGO constructing skills through four building challenges. Each challenge represents the four major NINJAGO characters: Kai, Zane, Jay and Cole. In addition, guests have a chance to win tickets to visit the Resort and experience NINJAGO The Ride by answering trivia questions at each event.
- Speed: Two-person teams will each be timed to construct a simple LEGO model from a NINJAGO themed image.
- Touch: One team member will be blindfolded while the other team member coaches them through the construction of a LEGO model.
- Agility: Team members will work together to build a LEGO NINJAGO themed model while keeping one arm behind their back.
- Teamwork: Team members work together to build a LEGO model of their favorite NINJAGO character.
NINJAGO The Ride features cutting-edge technology enabling guests to control the outcome of their adventure through the power of their hand gestures, how awesome is that?
