Time to Stock Up for the Weekend, Albertsons is having #AHugeSale

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #AHugeSale #CollectiveBias #Albertsons

Is it crazy that Summer is almost over? The kids are already almost back to school, so you know what that means? Time to make the best of these last few weekends of Summer. It has become a sort of date night for me and my husband to spend Friday night shopping at Albertsons. I know it's not the most romantic, but for us, it's time without the kids and we enjoy planning fun meals for the weekend. There is something calming about shopping at Albertsons on a Friday night, it's actually kinda pleasant, especially when we save money.

Now through August 11th, Albertsons and other banner stores (like Safeway, Vons, Super Saver and Acme) are having #AHugeSale for their anniversary and right now is the perfect time to stock up for the weekend and even back to school. I picked up 4 bags of my husband's favorite chips for under $8 and stocked up on 3- 8 packs of 20 oz Gatorades for under $10. Just those items alone will guarantee that my husband will be a happy camper all weekend.

As you can see, I managed to remember my shopping list this time. I don't know how many times I pull into the parking lot and realize I left my list on the counter at home. My weekend shopping list always includes breakfast, pancakes and OJ and food to BBQ and snack on. I love the produce and fresh salads and my husband loves his chips. He's very particular about which chips he buys, so I like to leave him in the chip aisle while I shop for other items on my list. We always find each other 15 minutes later with the weekends chips in hand.

The Gatorades are a great deal! With the Summer heat, we drink a lot of water but with my husband working and sweating so much at work, he definitely needs something to help him rehydrate. At the end of the day my husband will sneak a couple bottles of Gatorade in the freezer to make them slushy and use that to cool himself down before bed.

My favorite part of shopping at Albertsons, besides the sale prices of course, is shopping in the produce section. I am in love with how fresh everything is. I always leave with a fruit bowl.

These last few days of Summer we will be spending all day outside and look how easy it is to prep a lunch filled with variety. All the options available at a great price are perfect for the weekends and when it's time to start packing those school lunches. Do you shop at  Albertsons? Shop the HUGE Anniversary sale and stock up on your favorite Pepsi and PepsiCo brands 7/29-8/11. I'd love to hear how your family will stock up!

A Sky Zone Birthday! (Deal Inside!)

If you know me at all, you know I love parties. I get to go crazy twice a year for my daughter's birthdays and the past 5 years have been a lot of fun. But, I knew the day would come when my girls would want to celebrate somewhere other than their backyard. I'm okay with that because there are some super fun places to host parties now, and not just those old fashioned pizza parlors.
I am excited about hosting a party at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park, here are a few good reasons why having a party at Sky Zone is a great idea.
  • Something new and different, not the same ol' cake, ice cream and pinata.
  • No set up or clean up! Yes!
  • 1 hour of non-stop fun means exhausted kids and 2 hours sounds even better!

Let the team members at Sky Zone take care of everything for you as your party SOARS above all others on our patented, all-trampoline, walled playing courts. Maximize your FUN and create a truly memorable experience with one of these out-of-this-world party packages: Double Your Jump Time! I Can See Again! Thanks Firmoo.com!

Disclosure: I was provided with a pair of glasses to review, however, all opinions are my own.

I know this just looks like a post filled with selfies, but it's not. Well, I guess technically it is. But, I just can not help myself. Ever since I got my brand new glasses in from Firmoo.com, I kinda love the way I look in them, I even started rocking red lips. It's weird how much times have changed. When I was growing up and wearing glasses (since the age of 3), It was no where near "cool" to wear big thick framed glasses. But all of a sudden it's stylish, and EVERYONE wears them. Celebrities, athletes, Hello Kitty, and all the cool kids.
When I was about 12 year years old, I stopped wearing my glasses all day the way I should. I started with the bad habit of taking off my glasses and throwing them in my backpack. Ever since then, I have never really taken good care of my glasses, I would even lose them for days at a time. Now, I really have no excuse because I LOVE my new glasses.
I just got my eyes checked for the first time in more than 5 years. As soon as I got home, I took a picture of my prescription and ordered my new glasses from Firmoo.com within a few minutes, it is that easy. There are so many options at Firmoo, and you can even upload a photo of your face to virtually try on different styles. My glasses have anti-glare, anti-scratch and UV protection and were super affordable. Who doesn't love a great deal?
To be honest, I was unsure of what to expect ordering solely online and not having an actual fitting. But to my surprise, my glasses are perfect. The prescription had all the information they needed to make my glasses a perfect fit for me. Firmoo.com has great offers and deals going on all the time. They even have a selection of FREE glasses for first time customers. How awesome is that?

If it's time for new glasses or sunglasses check out Firmoo on Facebook and Twitter too, to see what they have to offer. If you do order them, mke sure to let me know in the comment section below.

It's Halloween time and the Best Time to Buy 2015 Season Passes to Knott's!

Disclaimer: We were invited to a media family preview day by GigaSavvy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Halloween is HUGE in my house. I always say Halloween is a month long celebration and that's why I am that lady who starts planning costumes in August. Besides decorating the house on October 1, we try to celebrate in as many ways as possible. This year, we are adding Knott's Camp Spooky to our Halloween celebrations! We are so excited to be celebrating with the Peanut gang and seeing what family friendly stuff Knott's has in store.
Some of our Halloween fun over the last 4 years.
My girls were first introduced to Knott's and the Peanut gang last New Years Eve and they have been dying to go back all year long.  My husband and I were really happy with how easy going and kid friendly Camp Snoopy is. Especially with the new rides that were just added I'm sure Camp Spooky is going to be extra fun.
From what I hear, the kiddos can wear their Halloween costumes and take part in Snoopy’s Costume Party and Parade with music and dancing! And of course, we are looking forward to the Mini Monster Maze that ends with some Trick or Treating.
We've never been Season pass holders to anywhere, but I am trying to talk my husband into a 2015 Knott's Season Pass. I mean, you can't really beat 9 low payments of $8.50, which also includes one free visit during 2014. This is the lowest prices of the season, so affordable. I know we are talking about Halloween here, but let's keep it real. Christmas is right around the corner. This would be an awesome gift for the whole family. Just keepin' it real. Penguins, Jellys and Sharks at the Aquarium of the Pacific

Disclosure: I was provided tickets for me and my family to attend the Aquarium of the Pacific to help facilitate this review. We had a fun time and of course, all opinions are my own.

There is so much fun stuff to do in Southern California and The Aquarium of the Pacific is definitely one of the coolest places to check out. We visited recently for the first time since my girls were just babies and we had a great time. When you plan on visiting an Aquarium, I'm sure you think about seeing awesome rare fish and sea life, but the Aquarium of the Pacific offers so much more than that. Where else can you learn about California's water conservation efforts, fish that live in the deepest of oceans, how whale blubber feels
They have a few friends out near the cafe that come out for pictures at different times throughout the day. This is Mr. Whale and he is pretty cute!
One of the most awesome features that the Aquarium of the Pacific offers is Shark Lagoon. The Shark Lagoon features more than 150 different sharks. Some of which you can touch and some you can't, but either way you are really up close to a variety of species. You can touch some of the smaller sharks and then walk over to an area to view some of the bigger sharks. It's pretty amazing!
You know how some kids are hesitant or scared to touch unfamiliar things? Well, Lexie is not that kid. Look at that face! She is so ready to jump in and touch those Sharks and Rays.
When else in your life can you say you touched these amazing creatures of the sea? Well, Lacey did hold a shark that one time I ran away from home and left my husband in charge, but that was a whole different story. Anyway, we are all about making memories, and the girls are still talking about touching sharks at the aquarium.
This may not be the best picture, but I love it! The Seals and Sea Lions are by far my favorite and they are so playful and so much fun to watch. The Aquarium of the Pacific offers two ways to watch them, from up above and down below. When watching from up above you can see them climb up on the rocks and swim above the water and from the view down below, you can watch them swim, twirl under water and dive deep. These amazing creatures have so much character, I could watch them all day long!
I just want to jump in and swim with them! I think that should be a new attraction, I bet it's therapeutic.
Jellyfish are usually kinda terrifying, nobody wants to be stung. But at the Aquarium of the Pacific you can touch them! They are actually kinda cute up close, and they feel like, well, Jelly! I did have to remind my little one to only use two fingers, and not to touch their under bellies, but other than that, this is really cool! All of their hands-on exhibits are probably the best part for kids (and husbands). My kids and husband were pretty equally excited about getting to touch fun stuff.
The new June Keyes Penguin Habitat allows visitors to get an up-close view of more than a dozen Magellanic Penguins. How amazing is that? Penguins in Southern California!
There are some things we missed this time, that we hope to check out the next time we visit, like the Lorikeet forest and maybe one of their 4D films. I really wanted to feed the Lorikeets and get amazing pictures, but my girls were not cooperating at the time.

We had such a great time visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific. There is so much to do and see, before you visit, you should check out their calendar of events, and make sure to check their site for great deals, they offer a great deal on a ticket combo for the Los Angeles Zoo and the Aquarium of the Pacific. You can also find combos with whale watching and harbor cruises.

Thanks for reading!
Have you been to the Aquarium of the Pacific? What was your favorite exhibit?

It's Time for Dodger Baseball! 1st tickets of the Season thanks to ScoreBig

Disclosure: I received a credit from ScoreBig to put towards any ticket of my choice. All opinions are my own.

Growing up in Los Angeles, it is safe to say, I bleed blue. I am a Dodger fan from birth, and am now raising my daughters to be Dodger fans as well. A large part of why I am such a Dodger fan is because of the sense of community that I feel from other Dodger fans. A few weeks ago, on opening day we saw men and women of every age wearing their Dodger shirts, jerseys, and hats. I love when every comes together like that.

We live within viewing distance of the Friday night Fireworks at the Dodger Stadium, and it is only about a 10 minute drive for us, so I am dying to get to my first game of this season. I was very excited to buy our tickets, but you know I've always got to find the best deal possible. This time I used ScoreBig to save on and buy my tickets.

ScoreBig gives you the opportunity to make an offer on full price tickets to sports, concerts, theater, Broadway, family shows and attractions. Basically, by choosing a seating area rather than an exact seat, you're giving the ticket providers the flexibility they need to give you great deals. Once you make an offer, they give you an instant answer on whether or not your offer was accepted and that's it! No fees and free delivery, it's that easy.
It worked out really well for me, I bought six tickets, in a great area, for 40% less than asking price. Great deal! And, of course, I have two little girls that I am taking to a baseball game, so what game would be better than against the Chicago White Sox on June 3rd for Hello Kitty bobble head night? The photo above is of last years bobble head, cute right? June can not come soon enough!
So with Summer fast approaching, check out ScoreBig for the best ticket price options for tons of different events around town. You can also follow ScoreBig on Twitter and Facebook for updates on deals.

Tell me: What events are you planning on going to this Summer? Any games? Concerts? Attractions?
