DIY Memory Keepsake Ornament #RegaloDeAmorPampers

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and Pampers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hola! It's getting to be the end of the year and for me that means it's time to reflect and look back, and bawl my eyes out as I realize another year has gone by and my girls are getting older. Today I'm sharing a DIY project that will help you treasure those moments and keep them safe in a fun way. I'm also sharing a fun giveaway from #RegaloDeAmorPampers.

You have a chance to win a gift basket to help capture those special moments of love with baby. The gifts include Pampers Swaddlers, Pampers Wipes, The Crafty Chica Collection Book, and a Michael’s gift card to create a DIY loving keepsake! Keep reading for instructions on how to make your own memory keepsake ornament and how to enter to win this fun prize.

As I was flipping through my copy of

The Crafty Chica Collection

by Kathy Cano Murillo I was inspired by her

Divine Intervention Car Cross

to make a Memory Keepsake Ornament for each year of my daughters lives.

I've been dying to try the bottle cap/resin craft for a while now and now that I have, I think I will be making more of these for bows and necklaces and key chains. The possibilities are endless!

Photos printed in 1 inch circles, Bottle Caps, Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, Hot Glue Gun, Paint, Glitter, Popsicle Craft Sticks, Ribbons, Yarn, Papers or any other materials that you'd like to use.

Follow the instructions below to make your own keepsake ornament.

  1. Print/Cut one inch circles.
  2. Glue the pictures to the center of the bottle cap.
  3. Pour the resin over the photo and cover completely. Try to keep a steady stream of resin when you're pouring, this will help keep the bubbles away. This will need to sit for 24 hours to completely harden. Please note: In this case, bubbles are the enemy.
  4. Paint your popsicle sticks and decorate however your heart desires. I added glitter, because, well I love making things glittery.
  5. Cut ribbons, yarn, pipe cleaners or anything you have chosen to use and start gluing. My favorite part of the process is all the layering.
  6. Adhere the hardened bottle cap with the photo as the last layer.
  7. Lastly, glue a string or ribbon to the top to hang the ornament.

It happens in a blink of an eye. It has been years now since my little ones were in diapers, but I want to make sure I capture the moments and hold them tight. The picture above is of my littlest's very first Christmas. Your baby experiences your love in many different ways, and those precious moments you share with your little one make every day special and worth remembering.

Pampers Swaddlers

are the No.1 choice at local hospitals in Los Angeles and across the country. And now Pampers Swaddlers is available through size 6 to comfort and protect babies through many more moments of love! I remember being so sad when my babies grew out of their Swaddlers, I love that Pampers now offers Swaddlers through age 6.

What do you think? I love it! It's gonna be so exciting to pull out the ornaments from the years past and look back at them and see how much they've changed.

It's been a while since my girls have been in diapers and when you are changing diapers all day and all night long, you get to the point when you can't wait for them to be potty trained. Then years pass, and you would give it all up for just one more moment where they fit perfectly in your arms. I am so glad I have the memories of them, in their swaddlers, those memories will be with me forever.
Babies experience your love in many different ways – and those precious moments you share with your little one make every day special and worth remembering. Pampers believes that when babies feel comforted and protected, all they feel is the love you have for them. Now, moms and babies can enjoy Pampers Swaddlers through size 6!

Craft of Blogging Workshop

This weekend I attended my very first blogging workshop, well my very first blogging anything really. When I began this blog about a year and a half ago, I didn't really realize what it was that I was getting myself into, or where it would lead me. But, thanks to some amazing ladies I met this weekend, I think I have more of an idea as to what it is I am doing!
I started this blog as a way to journal and showcase some of the "things" that I make for my kids, like their Halloween costumes and their parties that I go crazy with. Things slowly started evolving once I found Pinterest, I started pinning away and had so many new ideas! Then I  thought, I should start pinning my items back onto Pinterest, and before you know it, my traffic started increasing. Slowly, but surely. And up until recently I was at a stand still. What do I do with my blog? Where do I want to go? I found a lot of these answers at The Craft of Blogging workshop.

The workshop was put to life by three amazing mom's who blog. Xenia of Raised by CultureRuby of Growing Up Blackxican (writer for Babble) and Denise of Pear Mama (writer for Baby Center). I heard about this workshop about a month ago, and was reluctant to join because I didn't really know what I wanted from blogging. Thankfully I got the push and support from my husband to go and see what it was all about. I am so glad I did. First of all, the place that hosted the workshop is called The Makery in Anaheim and it was such a cute place where crafters can go and be surrounded by fellow crafters, or rent the space and host a crafting shindig of your own.
After arriving and enjoying a light lunch of delicious sandwiches, salad and Jarrito's soda, we got down to business and started talking about blogging. This workshop was also for beginning bloggers, so there was a lot of information on how to start a blog and the terminology that goes along with that. Although I have had my blog for over a year, I didn't know a lot of the terminology, so I was so glad for that type of review.
I really wanted to share with you, my readers, what I took most from the workshop. From the blogging basics portion, I learned that I need to find my inspiration and my voice and figure out what I want to do with it. I learned what should be included in a Media Kit, which is something I have been going crazy trying to figure out how to do. And lastly, I learned how to connect with brands and how to pitch yourself to them, which is something I will be working on soon!
We had refreshments supplied by Jarritos soda, and I have to say, it really took me back to my childhood. When I was little, my mom would take me to the carniceria and our treat would be an orange Jarritos soda.

The swag bag was amazing and filled with so many goodies and coupons by such awesome companies. Thank you to McDonalds, Crav on Fries, Neutrogena, Crafty Chica, and Pampers, just to name a few!
My head has been spinning since I left the Craft of Blogging workshop, I have so much information and advice that I have been trying to figure out how to implement. So, a big thank you to the women who have inspired me and to my readers, wish me luck! I will try my best to entertain, inspire or at least make you smile, even a little.
