10 Minute Makeover with some help from Windex and Pledge #InstaClean

I am a busy Mom and I am not shy to admit the cleanliness of my home is always last on my list. Have you ever heard the saying, "The Best Moms have Sticky Floors, Dirty Dishes, Piles of Laundry, and the Happiest kids," or something like that. Well, that is definitely my motto and just as I am comfortable owning my mess, the phone rings or I get a message from a visitor saying they're on their way over. And you know what that means? A mad dash to clean house and time to pull out your handy dandy Windex® and Pledge®.
The 10-minute room makeover usually happens in my living room, the first room you see when entering my home. Also, the easiest to get messy with my daughters backpacks and shoes. My living room is all wood and glass and should be dusted daily, but of course, gets a proper cleaning only a few times a year.
Every mom has their arsenal of favorite go-to cleaning helpers. For me, there are two products that I need for cleaning. With a big front window, a china cabinet, curio and tons of frames and mirrors, not to mention 4 dirty hands, we definitely need Windex®.
Oh the wood. Almost every surface in my home is wood, hardwood floors, old antique wood tables, wood on wood on wood. Pledge® makes the wood surfaces in my home so pretty and shiny. Pledge® Lemon Clean can be used to dust, shine and protect a variety of household surfaces including wood, laminate, stainless steel, leather, marble, granite and plastic. Pledge® also features Allergen Trappers® to remove dust and up to 90 percent of the allergens found in dust. Which I love, because, dust definitely makes me itchy.
Oh and this one is my new favorite! The Pledge® Multi Surface Cleaner removes smudges from wood, laminate, stainless steel, marble, granite, plastic, porcelain, glass, electronics surfaces and even has an antibacterial option and Allergen Trappers®.
The next time you are out doing your grocery shopping at your local Ralphs or Food 4 Less* keep an eye out for the Mega Event for Pledge® going on from 11/10-12/27 and save some money.

Let's Make Lunch Fun for Back To School! #MyGoodLife

This shop #MyGoodLife has been compensated by #CollectiveBias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

I thought I had an extra day before the Back to School madness, but I was wrong. My girls start school TOMORROW! I am so glad I called to ask because, we would've been a day late. With my oldest daughter going into all day kindergarten, I am very excited to start packing lunches for her. I knew I wanted to do something fun and different and hopefully make the transition into kindergarten nice and easy. It's all about balance in our lunches, I love for my girls to drink in the goodness with NESTLÉ® JUICY JUICE® and to add a little surprise I thought it would be nice to serve up smiles with a snack size BUTTERFINGER® or NESTLE® CRUNCH®! This is #MyGoodLife!

So here are some of my fun lunch ideas! First of all, I wanted to write my daughter a note. She can't read much yet, so the notes are simple but special. I thought what a better way to surprise her than to wrap the note around her

box. (This way, I know she'll see it for sure!)

I also wanted to add variety. Not just a sandwich and chips. I took a cookie cutter to a slice of cheese and made fun shapes for her to look at before she eats them. Of course, a serving of fruit is a must! Luckily my daughter isn't very picky when it comes to lunches which means I have room to experiment! Stay tuned for more ideas in another post.

I think it's a great idea to add a little treat like a snack size BUTTERFINGER® or NESTLE® CRUNCH®! I know when my girls are at home, I always give them a little sugary snack to help give them a little energy boost. This works for us, hopefully, it'll help with her teacher.

These snack containers are AMAZING! The possibilities are endless!

How fun is this right? Although, I may have set myself up for trouble, because I know if one day I forget a note, I will never hear the end of it.

Of course, I found all of these ingredients at my local

with great deals.

Tell me: What kinds of fun stuff do you do to make the first day of school special?

Quick Easy Meals for Summer Fun! #ComidasFaciles #CollectiveBias

This shop, #ComidasFaciles has been compensated by #CollectiveBias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

You know what the fun part about Summer is? For me, it's the freedom to do things you can't get away with during the school year. Luckily for my girls, they totally get to benefit from Mama saying "Yes" to everything.
"Mom, can we wear our princess dresses?" Sure. "Mom, can we put on makeup?" Yeah, go ahead. "Mom, can we eat outside in our playhouse?" Umm... Sure. Even though I am saying yes to all of this fun stuff, what my girls aren't seeing is that I am sneaking in rules and nutrition into these summer meals where I can. Yes, they can wear their princess dresses, but first they have to put their laundry away. Yes, they can eat outside in the playhouse, they can even have their favorite Kraft Easy Mac N Cheese, but I am going to sneak in some nutrition where I can.

Entertaining the Kids During an Emergency #PrepWithPower and Duracell #Shop

This shop has been compensated by #CollectiveBias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

Living in Southern California, I will most likely never experience the destruction that a hurricane or tornado can bring. But, I do have to be prepared because where I live, an earthquake can hit at any time of any day. It is something we never want to experience, let alone even think of. But part of being a parent and being responsible for little ones, is planning and being prepared. Keep reading to see how I #PrepWithPower and Duracell batteries in case of emergency.

Recently my girls experienced their first small earthquake. Luckily, it wasn't big enough to really scare them, but just give them a little taste. After the recent earthquakes, we started to get our emergency kit together. We put together all of the necessities: bottled water, a first aid kit, non-perishable foods, flash lights, and of course batteries. But as we talked with my daughters about being prepared, they wondered about their toys. They wanted to put their favorite stuffed animal and some toys in our kit. Of course, that only lasted until we put the kit away, then they missed their toys too much. But that got me thinking. We really should put a kids emergency kit together for them. A devastating earthquake is going to be traumatic enough without having access to some entertainment.
At first I started to gather some of their favorite books, board games, coloring books and crayons for their own kit. Then I realized, if I just keep their own stash of batteries with their toys, then they can play with some of their more entertaining and battery operated toys, like their Leap Pad, radio, and flashlights.
Once we started preparing, we found the Duracell Rechargeable batteries and charger to be a great idea. This way, we can always have batteries charged and ready to go when we really need them.
We found all of our batteries at the Power Center at Walmart. It was located in their very own central kiosk near the checkout stands. Perfect access for stocking up on your next trip.
Flashlights are always fun when you are a kid. There are so many fun things to do with flashlights, playing hide and seek, shadow puppets, telling stories, or even reading a book under the covers. The possibilities of flashlight fun are endless, as long as you #PrepWithPower. I always go with Duracell Coppertop or Quantum batteries when my rechargeable Duracell batteries are charging.
They really have no idea what kinds of devastation can come from a disaster like a big earthquake. I know that living in Southern California, they will experience a big one in their lifetime. As a parent, I would like to make that experience as less stressful as possible for them.

Easy Big Game Recipes for the Kids! #GolazoKraft #shop

I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for #CollectiveBias and its advertiser. However, all photos and opinions are my own.

Most days of the week I cook dinner for a very hungry family of six, four adults and two kids. Almost every single dinner that I cook has a protein, starch, and vegetable, with a glass of milk. I am proud to say that I was raised this way and continue this tradition with my family. But times have changed, sometimes we do a family cookout or summer grilling. Occasionally I stray from the traditional menu and even have days where we have breakfast for dinner (this was never allowed when I was growing up.) I am a busy stay at home mom and sometimes I need a break. Sometimes, I need dinner to be easy. On these days, I always reach for my Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. The kids love it, they see it as a treat, and I see it as easy. Sometimes I'll sneak in some chopped up hot dog or steamed broccoli and the plates are always licked clean.
Another tradition that I am proud to say we participate in, is sitting at the table as a family every night for dinner. However, there are some days that call for ease. The days when our eyes are glued to the TV for the Championship Soccer Games, we need something easy and mess free. Something we can eat while completely distracted! So, here it is, a quick, easy and delicious recipe for Kraft's Macaroni & Cheese burrito. #GolazoKraft
Oh yes. This one is so easy to make and really, you can add almost anything to Macaroni & Cheese and have success. I chose to add seasoned ground turkey and then wrapped it up in a burrito. And, what better to pair an easy dinner with than the new clear bottom Capri Sun.
The other day we were lucky enough to catch the Summer Soccer Grilling Event at Walmart while shopping for our ingredients. My girls had fun playing the games and trying samples before shopping. Walmart always has such great deals. This day I picked up the value packs of  both Kraft's Macaroni & Cheese and Capri Sun. More bang for our buck!

Here is a picture of the ingredients I used. I know you probably have most of this stuff on hand, that makes it so much easier. Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Ground Turkey, Taco Seasoning, and Tortillas.
Go ahead and Pin this photo for safe keeping!
Check out this super easy breakdown:
Brown the ground turkey and add the taco seasoning.
Follow the easy steps on the box for Macaroni & Cheese.
Warm a tortilla, then layer the Macaroni & Cheese and Ground Turkey. Wrap and enjoy!
Ooh yeah! I have two very normal girls that are not very adventurous when it comes to trying new foods. This one, they loved!

Check out this Flipagram I posted on my Instagram that shows how easy this recipe is to make.
