As a Mom to two daughters, I have to say I spend a lot of time with my hands tangled in hair. Washing hair, brushing hair, styling hair, and playing with their hair whenever I get the chance. This Summer my daughters finally decided to cut their waist length hair for a cuter, shorter, cooler- older girl hair do.
I may have cut down on some of the time I spend brushing their hair, but now that my girls are getting older they have started to care about their hair. They like to wash and brush their own hair and pick which hair clip goes where. I mean, I'm not completely out of the picture. They still need my help to rinse the last of the shampoo out of their hair and get the knots that they can't reach in the back of their head. But it's a little bit sad that they're growing up, I need to hold on to these last moments for as long as possible, which is why I encourage a nightly concert in the shower.
I have to admit, before they had their hair cut, they were using a lot of my shampoo and conditioner. I knew that once they had their new 'dos they were going to need their very own hair products. So when they saw the new Suave Kids line at Walmart, they were Super excited to see a familiar face on a new bottle of shampoo, just for them.
Well the Frozen line of products caught our eye from across the aisle, they were also drawn to the Star Wars line- look at how cool they are! We are probably the only people around who are not Star Wars fans, but the characters on the bottles definitely got our attention and I like that they are giving the options for young boys to start their own personal hair care.
We went with the "Berry Flurry" Shampoo and Conditioner and oh my, it smells wonderful. Personally, I love that it's Tear-free! That makes life easier on me, because there are always those times when soap happens to get in their eyes. Suave Kids is also easy to rinse and doesn't leave any residue, which is perfect for these hair washing rookies. And I don't know about you, but I am a big fan of the pump on the bottle, it makes for less waste, mess and accidental spills.
Make sure to keep an eye out for the Anna "Winter Melon" Shampoo/Conditioner combo and the Olaf "Icy Grape" Shampoo/Body Wash too. Believe me, we had some tough decision making to do in the aisles of Walmart.
We also picked up this Suave kids Detangler spray. The Shampoo/Conditioner combo does do it's job but I think my girls like the thought of extra assistance in the tangle department. This whole growing up thing is a lot of work for this Momma, but Suave Kids is helping to make it a smooth transition. Because although they may be growing up, they will still sing, "Let it Go" and "Do you want to Build a Snowman" and the rest of the soundtrack to Frozen as soon as they see Anna and Elsa in the shower with them.
See, they're still my little girls.
So tell me, what is your favorite song to sing in the shower?
