SoCal Family Week of Fun!

Oh man oh man, I am still recovering from our week of fun. Why didn't anyone warn me that filling our week with so much fun would be so exhausting? Haha. As tiring as it was, it was completely worth it. We spent the week touring our beloved Southern California. We went from Santa Monica, to Hollywood, to Long Beach, all the way down to Carlsbad... and back! Luckily for us we were traveling in both style and luxury in the 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir

We began our week of fun by heading as West as we could all the way to Santa Monica. As you can tell my girls were so excited to be riding around in such style. They really had no idea what to expect as we found our way to Candytopia!

Candytopia -- Santa Monica, CA

If you haven't heard about Candytopia yet, you must not be on Instagram, because Candytopia is an Instagrammers dream. You can check out some of the fun we had here or wait until next week when my recap hits the blog. For now, let me just tell you we had so much fun! Where else are you handed sweet treats in every single room, be blasted with confetti, jump in a pit of marshmallows, swing in a jungle, climb an emoji and take some trippy optical illusion type photos? Candytopia! Click below to get your tickets now, because weekends sell out quick and they're only here until July 4th!

I love LA! I also love that I'm always in just enough traffic to capture shots like this along the way. (Don't worry, I was literally parked on the freeway!)

El Capitan Theater -- Hollywood, CA

At this point ya'll had to have seen Marvel Studios Avengers: Infinity War right? Well, I went to a screening at the beautiful, classic El Capitan Theater days before it opened. Cruising down Hollywood Blvd. in the Enclave was awesome and if you live in LA then you might appreciate that we actually ended our evening eating a Tommy's burger, in comfort.

That's how you do LA, am I right?

Aquarium of the Pacific -- Long Beach, CA

I was invited to the media preview of the Urban Ocean Festival at the Aquarium of the Pacific and they were kind enough to host my entire family for the day.

This right here is my family. All three generations, my parents, my sister and her girlfriend, me and my daughters. We had such an awesome day together and were lucky enough to enjoy extra time, as the Enclave Avenir fit all seven of us as we headed down to Long Beach.

LEGOLAND Castle Hotel -- Carlsbad, CA

So, my big surprise to my girls for this week of fun was that we were invited to the Grand Opening of the new Legoland Castle Hotel. Not only were we super thrilled to just visit, but we were some of the first people to stay at the hotel. This was a huge deal for my daughters as it was their very first time sleeping in a hotel. Could there have been a better first time? NOPE!

You're gonna have to wait until our official review of the new LEGOLAND Castle Hotel comes to the blog next week. But let me just tell you, it's everything you could want in a family vacation hotel. The Enclave Avenir gave us everything we needed as we headed out on our journey from LA to Carlsbad. My girls were in complete comfort as they rode in the second row, had enough room for road trip snacks and found the plugs for their tablets almost immediately. (Even the third row has USB charge spots.)

I told you we were traveling in style! Ooh la la! You have no idea how much I miss driving this beauty around town.

For me, my favorite specs of the Buick Enclave Avenir has to be hands down, the functions of the dashboard. Everything was at my fingertips and once I set everything up, which literally took less than 5 minutes. I was hooked up. I had WI-FI and Bluetooth and Wireless charging, which not to sound so dramatic, but it made my life easier. Lol! I wish life was always as easy as pushing one button.

Oh, the view through the dual sunroofs! The kids loved being able to see the sky while we drove. It's the little things that you take for granted, like looking at the sky, when you aren't able to during long drives.

Oh I miss how spacious the ride was. We rode with 5 adults and 2 kids with ease and loved it. Oh and don't get me started on the interior, the wood-toned accents made the whole ride just so classy.

We had the best week ever, thanks so much to Buick for lending us the Enclave Avenir for the week. If you're in the market for a nice family car to run around Southern California in, I completely recommend the 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir, click the button below for more info.
