Where are my Harry Potter fans?! If you haven't visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood then get ready because it just keeps getting better and better! We were invited by Universal Studios to get a preview of the all-new "The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle" and I have to say... I LOVED IT!
Entering the Wizarding World is truly magical at any time of day. The way I see it, is I spent so many hours immersed into this world as I read the books and watched the films, so seeing Hogsmeade Village in person, feels like coming home. Universal Studios did such a great job at recreating this magical world for everyone. There is so much magic happening all around you, especially as you wander through all of the fun shops. It's so fun to walk into Honeydukes™, have a wand choose you at Ollivanders™, visit the Owl Post™, pick up some gifts at Zonko's™ Joke Shop, and pick up souvenirs at Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment, Dervish and Banges™, Gladrags Wizardwear and Filch's Emporium™ of Confiscated Goods.
You can also enjoy authentic food and drinks, like Butterbeer! Which is delicious, both hot and frozen! Seriously, get one of each. Oh, and don't forget to pick up some Gilly Water while walking the cobblestone alleys, it really is all part of the fun.
Now onto "The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts™ Castle." There are 3 showtimes every night and is just the right amount of time, not too long and not too short. The colors and the light display along with the special effects showcase the four houses of Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin.
The beautiful lights are accompanied by a special musical arrangement created by Academy Award-winning composer John Williams based on his original scores composed for the film series recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra in London.
Check out my video above of "The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle," and make sure to check it out when you visit Universal Studios Hollywood this Summer. There are 3 different show times and believe me, it is something you are going to want to stop and really take in.
