Spring is Here and so is Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival 2015!

Disclosure: My family and I were invited by GigaSavvy to a media day at Knott's Berry Farm just so I can share with you all the awesomeness they have going on. All opinions are 100% mine.
By now I'm sure you are well aware of our family's LOVE for Knott's Berry Farm. We have visited several times in the last few months and we are so excited to go to Knott's Berry Farm's Boysenberry Festival for the first time. I love Boysenberry everything and can not wait to try even more Boysenberry flavored goodness. Yum! The Boysenberry Festival (March 28 – April 12), mostly takes place in the theme park’s historic Ghost Town. The 16-day entertainment festival returns with an unforgettable lineup of exquisite Boysenberry Bites, the Wine and Craft Brew Tasting Garden, and more farm fresh fun the whole family will love!
I like to think of the Boysenberry festival as the kick off to Spring and I am looking forward to all of the bright colors, big flowers and of course the Easter Beagle.
A little history on the Boysenberry:
In the 1930s Walter Knott harvested the boysenberry, a cross between a loganberry, red raspberry and blackberry, and named the new berry after its originator Rudolph Boysen. Today, all boysenberries in the world can trace their roots back to Knott’s Berry Farm.

Sun up to sun down the Boysenberry festival includes dueling fiddlers, Jammin’ in the Dark, Peanuts Party in the Park, vine dancing, swing dancing, and live music. The limited-time Festival is included with admission to Knott’s Berry Farm.
This year, Knott's will once again make delicious history with the debut of its very own farm-made Berry Market™ Boysenberry BBQ Sauce during the Boysenberry Festival. The tangy, finger lickin’ good sauce will add the perfect flavor to ribs, BBQ chicken, chicken wings, and more. Other must try Boysenberry Bites I can't wait to try include fried cheese curds paired with a spicy boysenberry dipping sauce, fish and chips sandwich with boysenberry tartar sauce, Boysenberry ICEE Floats, and Boysenberry Frappuccino and Latte.

Get ready to smell the aroma of charbroiled treats cooked on open-air barbeques throughout the streets of the festival and don't forget to stop by the Berry Market or General Store in Ghost Town to pick up your very own bottle of the Boysenberry BBQ sauce.

*There is an additional fee for tastings, but so worth it!
