We recently visited LA Zoo's Boo at the Zoo media preview for a day full of fun in the October sun and had a blast! Boo at the Zoo is the LA Zoo's Halloween celebrations and if you are looking for a kid friendly activity, this is definitely the place to be. It's always a great time to visit the LA Zoo, but during Boo at the Zoo, you are treated to Trick or Treating, animal encounters, and a lot of fun Halloween activities.
This weekend October 26-27 is the last weekend for Boo at the Zoo, so make sure to stop by!
One of the most awesome parts of Boo at the Zoo is watching the animals interact with the pumpkins that the zoo provides. We watched as the tigers entered their habitat to find bright orange pumpkins with treats hidden inside.
Part of the Boo at the Zoo fun includes animal encounters. As you can see, my daughters and nephews got to touch and feel a live Python and were intrigued by being so up close to a tarantula.
Boo at the Zoo is sponsored by the 99 Cents Only Stores who provided the trick or treat bags for the kids.
Here is my little lady bug creating her souvenir out of a penny. Luckily I had enough change for all the kids to make their own.
So, if I hadn't made myself clear enough I love the LA Zoo! There is always tons to do, and the fun with Boo at the Zoo is spotting all of the Halloween decorations. The Carousel area was very nicely decorated, and not creepy. You will not find anything too scary for your little ones.
This was a great outing for my daughters and their cousin. He was dressed as a park ranger and fit in perfectly at the zoo! And yes, I had cat ears and makeup on, hey! It's Halloween time! If you have any more questions check out the site here.
