Our little Ballerina...

When you find out your pregnant with a girl, so many thoughts run through your mind. Manicures and pedicures, hair styles, bows, dresses, shoes, shopping, nail polish, and ballet class.
For Lacey, the deal was, if she wanted to be a ballerina and wear tutus, she had to be potty trained. That was definitely the push that she needed with the potty training! This past spring, I searched for a local dance studio that offers ballet classes for toddlers, and was so happy to find Twinkle Toes Dance Company. Twinkle Toes is located 3 miles from our home in Highland Park, CA.
I think it goes without saying that during the entire 45 minutes of Lacey's first ballet class, I had the biggest smile on my face, and tears making big puddles in my eyes. 2-3 year old's ballet class  is absolutely, without a doubt, the most adorable thing in the world!!!! Half of the class wouldn't leave their mother's side, Lacey was one of the kids, that took one last look at me, and never looked back. I don't know if this made me proud or a little sad. But either way, every minute of every class was memorable.A few weeks into the classes, we were told about their Spring Performance of Alice in Wonderland. Another first for us, was preparing Lacey for being on stage and listening to her instructor. In my head I kept seeing Lacey being that kid that walks off stage, or the kid that freezes, or even worse cries. I was proven wrong on recital day, as I watched and recorded her performance while holding back tears and my breath, she did amazing. Here are the photos...
