A New Film to Remind us that You Have to Keep Faith #MiraclesFromHeaven

This blog post is part of a paid program between Megan Media and Sony Pictures. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.

The love between a mother and her children is the strongest bond there is. The way a mom knows what her child needs based on the sound of their cry or how a mother's instinct can tell you things that even science can't explain, motherhood truly is wonderful. There is so much about motherhood that no one can prepare you for and losing a child is one of those things. Having lost my son, I know that there is no greater hurt than having to say goodbye to your child.

There are few films that have touched my heart, and Miracles from Heaven is one of them. Honestly, if I wasn't a mother who has already lost a child, I'm not sure if this film would have touched me as deeply as it did. But that's who I am, I am a Mom of two daughters here on earth and a son who lives in heaven. What got me through the toughest times of my life was my faith and this film will help remind everyone that you can never lose faith because miracles happen every day.

Last week I was invited to Sony Studios in Culver City to attend a screening of Miracles from Heaven, a new film brought to the screen from the same producers of Heaven is for Real. If you have never had the pleasure of touring a studio, then let me tell you, it is kinda magical. There is something really cool about being behind the scenes where all the ideas come to life. When I first saw the trailer I knew I would be watching with a box of tissues and I am telling you now that you too will require tissues or a sleeve to wipe away the tears. As I sat in the theater surrounded by my fellow bloggers, there were very few dry eyes left. Miracles from Heaven will give you all of the feelings there are to feel and possibly even leave you with a renewed sense of faith.

Miracles from Heaven has an amazing cast that does a great job of portraying the true stories of real people. Jennifer Garner shines as Christy Beam, the mother of 10 year old Anna, played by Kylie Rogers.

When Anna falls ill and is diagnosed with an incurable disease, Christy fights for her daughter to get the best treatment possible. As the Beam family struggles with the hardships of Anna's deteriorating health, Christy begins to lose faith, even though Anna's faith never wavers. One day, as Anna plays outside with her sisters, she gets hurt during a freak accident and to everyone's shock, not only survives, but is miraculously healed.

Martin Henderson, Eugenio Derbez and Queen Latifah do a fantastic job in supporting roles of lightening up an otherwise heavy and emotional film. They really do a great job of injecting humor into the story.

The film is great from beginning to end and what I loved most is that it is based on true events. This is a true story of family, medicine, faith and miracles. I left feeling both heavy hearted and inspired and I just really needed to hug my girls. The film's release is perfect for the Easter season. Take your daughters, your mothers and grandmothers, the film teaches a lesson that we all need to hear; miracles happen every day, all around us, we just need to keep the faith.

Miracles from Heaven is in theaters everywhere on March 16, watch the trailer below.
