Becoming a Mother really changes everything about you as a person and although you kinda know that it's gonna happen, you never really understand it until you take a step back and look at how much you and your life has changed. When I had my first baby, it was a very different experience than most. I lost my son just a few hours after he was born, we didn't know that he had an inoperable heart condition and so it was something that I was not prepared for at all.
Losing my son changed my life and who I was as a person, but it wasn't until I had my daughter, 14 months later, that I was able to really see myself as a Mother. All I knew was that I was in charge of this little person and responsible for every little thing she needed and that I would give up my own life in a second if that was what she needed. I spent every minute of my day with her and even listened to her sleep on the baby monitor before I would actually fall asleep. It really is amazing how much these little babies change your life.
Now, that my babies are older and a little bit more independent their needs have changed. My days now consist of taking them to Girl Scout meetings, events and just trying to stay active. If there is one way that being Mom has changed me, that is how my babies have changed me, not only do they keep me busy, but I work hard at keeping them busy too. I sacrifice my free time just to keep my babies happy.
believes that even though babies are little, they are powerful agents of change. Babies have a profound impact on our lives and on the world.
My babies have changed me so much. It seems so long ago that I would sleep in on Saturday's and just be lazy all day. Now, I get up early and get my girls ready so we can head out to Home Depot for the kids workshop or spend hours listening to my daughter read books. We are just filling our days and months with memories and I wouldn't change it for anything. My girls give me energy, they are the reason that I want to be a better Mom, Woman, Wife, Friend, Daughter and Sister because I know that I am their role model.
When a baby comes into your life, you want to be a better person for that baby. Babies bring out the best in each of us. They make our lives better and that’s why there’s nothing each of us wouldn’t do to make life better for babies. Pampers has unveiled a new video - The Pampers Better for Baby video- to celebrate the many ways babies bring out the best in all of us. Check it out below:
The video ends with a pledge: “together we can make life #betterforbaby.” Pampers hopes the video inspires people to share what they already do – and what they might begin doing – to make life better for the babies in their lives. Pampers is inviting people to share their pledges using hashtag #betterforbaby. Here's mine:
I pledge to make life #BetterForBaby by being a good role model for my daughters.
Pampers is committed to doing their small part to make life #BetterForBaby by donating millions of diapers each year to families in need through Feeding America and partners with UNICEF to help eliminate maternal and newborn tetanus.
