It all started two weeks ago. My husband and I started to discuss our menu planning for the upcoming Super Bowl. Well, we have a few staples in our home. We always do bacon wrapped shrimp with our spicy mayo dip and sometimes we step up our chip and dip game with a spinach artichoke or a hot clam dip. This year my husband had something in mind that he just had to see through to the end.
When I met my husband, he introduced me to the glorious world of Korean BBQ, he actually grew up eating authentic Korean food thanks to his Korean Aunt. I love that the world we live in revolves around good food and making food taste as good as possible, there are no boundaries anymore. With the amazing invention of fusion food I can now have a Kalbi burrito by just driving 10 minutes down the street. The lack of boundaries today may have fueled my husbands creation, so now let me tell you about this sandwich:
Buttered and Toasted Sourdough Bread
(Korean marinated thinly sliced rib eye)
topped with Arugula tossed with Zesty Lime Vinaigrette
The sandwich was simple, delicious, and an amazing combination of flavors. All credit has to go to my husband and that hunger driven, drunken speech about the dream of a sandwich.
