A Disney Day with Friends (and no kids) #DisneyFamilia

Thanks to the blessing/curse of social media, every single day I see at least one person I know hanging out at the most magical place on earth and I secretly hate them. Haha! I'm just kidding... sorta. No, if I could, I would also be a Disney Annual Passholder, unfortunately it's not in our budget and thanks to social media I get to live vicariously through some of my favorite people. That is until last week. Last week, on field trip day for the #WeAllGrow Summit 2017, I got to hang out with a group of incredibly fun women and play at Disneyland... without our kids!

If you're not following these AWESOME WOMEN, you need to get on that right now. From Right to Left, @hellosplendidblog , @rubydw , @fromcarpools2cocktails  and @mayainthemoment

The first time we visited Disneyland with my girls, they were babies and when I saw their faces light up while they watched the parade, I bawled. I can't wait to go back and share the magic with them now that they're older. But! It was such a treat to wander Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure with some of my favorite Mama's and Maya. I did not have to worry about buying snacks at every turn, I did not hear one complaint about a line being too long or the sun being too hot. This is why I recommend every adult, play hooky one day a year and soak up the magic in a kid-free way. Seriously, we should make this a thing. Who's with me?

Did I mention this was my first time at Disney's California Adventure? I can't believe I had never been. My tour guide Maya in the Moment did such a great job at picking out which rides we would love the most in the short period of time we were there. Soarin' Around the WorldThe Haunted Mansion and The Little Mermaid- Ariel's Undersea Adventure were my favorites. I love love love that California Adventure serves alcoholic beverages. Although we didn't partake on this day because we had a cocktail hour to go to later that day, I can't wait to go back and have a Margarita or three.

See this face? This is a happy Dole Whip holding mom. The last time I took my daughters to Disneyland, all I wanted was a photo of myself with Tinkerbell (I love TINK!) and a Dole Whip. Of course, with all the madness of solo parenting and keeping my kids happy, I kept getting lost and never found the Dole Whips. I didn't get my photo with Tinkerbell either. Thankfully, Dole Whips were made possible on this trip and I enjoyed each and every drop as we walked through to a 10 minute wait at the Haunted Mansion. If you go to Disneyland frequently, then you know a 10 minute line to anything at Disneyland is worth mentioning.

Tale as old as time... We caught a glimpse of Belle and Beast walking through the park. I yelled Bonjour! I don't know if they heard me or not, but it didn't matter. Because seeing the characters like this, takes me back to being a kid. I can't wait to see the newest Beauty and the Beast.

And we got a button to commemorate the visit, of course. It was a must.  There was something very special about visiting Disneyland, midweek, without the kids and with friends. My recommendation: Schedule a Disney day soon, get out, embrace the magic and soak it up, because adulting is hard enough. Treat yourself and feel refreshed for whatever life is going to throw your way.

Thank you once again to WeAllGrow Latina Network and Disneyland for the awesome day of kid-less fun. I can't wait to go back and share the magic with my family.
