Thank you to LA Mamacitas for having us over for such a fun night, we had such a fun night. Not only were my girls so excited to finallywatch Vampirina, but I was excited to hang out with some fellow LA Mamacitas for a couple hours too. The LA Mamacitas put together such a cute spread for an outdoor movie night starring Vampirina.

A little bit about the show...

Vampirina is a Disney Junior show based on the Vampirina Ballerina series of books written by Anne Marie Pace and illustrated by LeUyen Pham. The show premiered on October 1, 2017 and is available on Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and the Disney NOW app.

The story tells of a young vampire girl, who becomes the new kid in town when her family moves from Transylvania, Romania to Pennsylvania to open a local Scare bed and breakfast for visiting ghouls and goblins.

The Cast

  • Isabella Cramp as Vampirina "Vee" Hauntley
  • Lauren Graham as Oxana Hauntley, Vee's mom
  • James Van Der Beek as Boris Hauntley, Vee's dad
  • Patti Lupone as Nanpire, Vee's grandmother.
  • Brian Stokes Mitchell as Grandpop, Vee's grandfather.

An outdoor movie night was the perfect screening for Vampirina. The LA Mamacitas did such an amazing job as hosts. Here's what you'll need for a fun outdoor movie night.

A projector, the movie and a blank wall or sheet to project onto. Also, blankets and pillows definitely help make everyone more comfortable.

Kid friendly food: Popcorn, Hot Dogs, juice and water.

S'mores: A fire pit, skewers, marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers.

Printable coloring and activity sheets definitely help the night along. If you have kids, you know it's not easy to keep them sitting watching a movie or show for very long, especially when they are outside. Fun Tip: Have quiet stations set up. Kids are drawn to a table with crayons and coloring sheets, especially when they are of some of their favorite characters.

I'll be honest I didn't know about Vampirina until right before we were heading to the movie night. My girls knew about her and now, are kind of obsessed with her. So, now I can't wait to get some of the Vampirina Ballerina books for them.

Thanks again LA Mamacitas for such a fun night out.
