I love the holidays, I love everything about the holidays. The music, the food, and mostly I love that everyone is in a generally good mood. I mean, there are a fair share of scrooges around too, but for the most part, people are just jolly. My only issue with the holidays, is that I don’t know when to start. I think the day after Halloween is a little too soon, but waiting until Thanksgiving is too late.
In the sequel to the 2015 global smash, father and stepfather, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell) have joined forces to provide their kids with the perfect Christmas. Their newfound partnership is put to the test when Dusty’s old-school, macho Dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad’s ultra-affectionate and emotional Dad (John Lithgow) arrive just in time to throw the holiday into complete chaos.
I love being a part of the LA Mamacitas, they really know how to put on a fun event. They picked the cutest, funkiest venue at the With Love Market and Cafe right here in LA and had the awesome ladies behind SugarCraftLA teach the kids (and the dads) how to do some equally awesome cookie decorating.
For the most part, my husband usually gets away with not attending events with us. But not this one. I told him that as a Papacito, he was invited to decorate cookies with his girls while celebrating the release of a movie called Daddy's Home 2. How could he refuse? He had a good time and my girls did too. That's pretty much all that matters.
Okay, we're officially in Holiday season mode now.
I haven't had a chance to see Daddy's Home 2. But I did see the first one and I can't wait to see the sequel. The holidays are here guys, the time of year when Dad's can't say no to spending extra time with the family. I have to say, decorating cookies is the perfect way to get Dads involved. Do you know a Dad that can say no to cookies? I didn't think so.
