There is something magical in the air, just in time for the Holidays. This year, Universal Studios Hollywood has turned Hogwarts castle into an even more magical version of itself. Whether you are a fan of Harry Potter or not, the lights at Hogwarts are beautiful and breathtaking. "Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter" takes place nightly now through January 8.

The all-new “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” experience will resonate with fans who feel at home in Hogsmeade and for those who have been living under a rock and don't know and love everything about Harry Potter, they will be equally impressed at this whole new magical world. Universal Studios Hollywood did an amazing job at transforming Hogsmeade for the Holidays.

The a cappella Frog Choir, comprised of Hogwarts students and their giant throaty frogs, will perform all-new holiday themed songs. These are the little touches that help you feel like you've been transported to Hogsmeade.

To really fully enjoy the entire experience while in Hogsmeade, you will need a nice cup of the seasonal hot Butterbeer. I love the frozen Butterbeer as well, so we usually get one of each and fight over, I mean, share the two.

As night falls on Hogsmeade village, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts™ Castle” will illuminate Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with colorful imagery and impressive dimensional animations that dance across Hogwarts castle right alongside musical arrangements from the Harry Potter movies.

Okay, so I am here to give you a heads up. You are going to want to try and get in to the first showing, which is right at sunset, around 5:30 pm. After the first showing and night has fallen, the lines get very long, very fast.  It is worth the wait, but still you're going to want to plan your evening around it. Between the lights at Hogwarts and the lighting of the 60 ft Grinchmas tree, the holidays are magical at Universal Studios Hollywood.
